Chapter
1 Exploring Experiences, Part 2.
The sunrise had slowly started a cool, breezy morning. Amidst green views and golden hues, we arrive at the banks of river Godavari, to experience a comforting city in a fulfilling day. After traveling through Maharashtra’s wonderous hill station, let’s explore Nashik the relaxed way!
Breakfast
welcomes with Nashik’s famous Misal Pav,
A spicy and tasty delicacy mixed with various
nutritious ingredients complimented by pav and amazing weather, making it
a meal of happiness! Next, we head off to Trimbakeshwar, which we discover to
not only be one of the 12 Jyotirlingas but a scenic space as well! Through the
peaceful, clean atmosphere, we go on to spot some beautiful waterfalls and
worth trekking hills! With a slight drizzle guiding us, we take a walk
through the kalaram temple of Shri Ram and many other deities.
The afternoon cheered us on,
As we visit the sula vineyards, a major reason
of why Nashik is known as the wine capital of India (Bharat) The city’s
favorable climate is quite suitable for wine production and the sweetest of
grapes of international quality! Onwards we observe the Indian Airforce
station, one of its kind coin museums in India & a look at the “Vir
Savarkar Smarak as well.
The evening greets with a cultural smile, when
we visit one of the oldest libraries and reading room of India (Sarvajanik
vachanalay) And feel the youthful energy, helpful people and conversations of
Nashik, wandering the well-kept streets, flowering gardens and many cafes! The
day then quietly sunsets to a satisfactory close on the bank of Godavari or as
Nashik calls it, “Ganga”. More to rome, but surely a city that can be called home. Be curious until the next travel celebration!
